As typical parents, nothing is more precious than our children.

Dealing with the loss of a child is a fate no parent should ever endure.

It is an unrecoverable, catastrophic, life-changing event.

 

Yet it happens.

Time and time again.

We became hyper-aware of it one Spring while having

our annual family trip to Miami.

A story surfaced in the Miami area of a father

whose life took an unbearable turn.

A wonderful, loving, and caring dad---running, running, running, with his mind fractured into a million thoughts, did the unthinkable.

He left his beloved daughter in the car.

Seeing the anguish on this man's face all over the news

was more than we could bear.

Something had to be done.

......and just like that, an idea blossomed where once a life had flourished, only to be extinguished far too soon and leave in its wake a destroyed family.
